＜出発地・目的地の設定方法について＞

以下の3通りの方法で設定できます。

１．キーワード検索

• テキストボックスにキーワードを入力
• 「虫眼鏡」ボタンをタッチ
• リストから選ぶ

２．一覧から探す

• 「一覧」ボタンをタッチ
• リストから選ぶ

３．地図から指定

• 出発地・目的地にしたい場所をタッチ。
• 「ここからのルート」もしくは「ここまでのルート」をタッチ。

Objective of the Tokyo Crime Map

• This map is intended to provide you with specific crime details at the most local level so that it serves you as a helpful crime prevention tool.

How the Tokyo Crime Map Works

• This map is created by TMPD's Community Safety Bureau, using the Geographic Information System (GIS). You will be able to quickly get an overview of crimes in your area. It covers the entire Tokyo (excluding the island areas).

Display Method

• You will be able to get an overview of crimes by each municipality and smaller area, based on the following selected categories: Total penal offenses, Snatching, Burglary, Theft from vehicle, Theft of vehicle, Motorcycle theft, Bicycle theft, Violent offense, Indecent exposure, Street robbery, and Shoplifting.
  For the categories of Snatching, Indecent exposure, Street robbery, and Suspicious persons against children/women, locations of occurrence are displayed.
  For Total penal offenses, Burglary, Theft from vehicle, Theft of vehicle, Motorcycle theft, Bicycle theft, Violent offense, and Shoplifting, each district in the municipality (e.g. "machi", "cho", or "chome") is color-coded based on the numbers of occurrence.

Updating Information

• The map will be updated every two weeks on Friday and will show data up to Friday of the previous week. The map may not be updated due to the system maintenance or during the New Year and other national holidays.

Time Period Displayed

• Locations of occurrences of Snatching, Indecent exposure, Street robbery and sightings of suspicious persons can be displayed for the previous two weeks, each month of the current year, year-to-date, and previous year.
  The map for the categories of Total penal offenses, Burglary, Theft from vehicle, Theft of vehicle, Motorcycle theft, Bicycle theft, Violent offense, and Shoplifting can be color-coded by each district in the municipality based on the number of occurrence for the previous two weeks, previous month, year-to-date, and previous year.
  The map can be color-coded by each municipality based on the number of occurrence for the year-to-date and previous year.

Notes

• - The location information on where specific crimes occurred may contain errors and/or not reflect the actual places of occurrence.
  - Of all the crimes recognized by TMPD, ones whose locations of occurrence are not available or which are not suited for disclosure are not shown on the map. Also, due to the way complaints were filed, not all the crimes are reflected on the map.
  - The numbers of penal code offenses displayed are subject to change.
  
  
  Please be sure to fully understand the above-mentioned points before utilizing the map as a crime prevention tool.

Agreement on Terms of Service

• This site (hereinafter, the "Site") is made available for use by a business operator in private sector entrusted by TMPD.
  When using the Site, please understand that users are deemed to have agreed on the following provisions (hereinafter, "Terms of Service") and the Privacy Policy.

Scope of Terms of Service

• The scope in which the Terms of Service are valid extends to all servers required for the operation of the Site and any and all information stored therein (hereinafter, the "Content").

Intellectual Property Rights

• The copyright in and to the Site and the Content is vested in TMPD unless otherwise specifically set forth herein and is protected by copyright laws of respective countries, treaties of various kinds and other laws.
  In the Site, the following business operators hold intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark right, etc.) in addition to TMPD.
  The copyright in and to Guide Map and Aerial Photo provided by the Site is vested in Increment P Corporation, NTT Geospace Corporation, and Pasco Corporation.
  Company names and product names published in or listed on the Site may be registered trademarks or trademarks of TMPD or respective companies.
  Users are not permitted to use them without obtaining prior written consent of TMPD or respective companies unless authorized by the Trademark Act or other laws.

Links

• The top page of the Site may be linked without obtaining the permission of TMPD.
  When establishing a link, please clearly indicate to the effect that the link is a link to the Site in a place where the link is established.
  However, if the content of the original site or the method of establishment of the link fall under any of the following, TMPD reserves the right to reject such link:
  - acts that violate or are likely to violate good public morals;
  - acts that cause or are likely to cause third parties or TMPD to suffer disadvantage or damage.

Use of Content

• Use of the Content (including its reproduction, alteration, diversion, indication, electro-magnetic processing, transmission, distribution, secondary use or any and all other acts of similar nature) exceeding personal use or the scope explicitly authorized by laws is prohibited.

Prohibited Matters

• The Site prohibits following acts:
  - use of services for profit;
  - printing of maps for re-distribution or re-sale;
  - commercial diversion;
  - acts that cause or are likely to cause third parties or TMPD to suffer disadvantage or damage;
  - acts that violate or are likely to violate good public morals;
  - acts of crime or that result in or are likely to result in acts of crime;
  - acts that violate laws and regulations provided for by the government, etc. including any of the foregoing;
  - other acts that TMPD determines inappropriate.

Disclaimer

• Map information provided by the Site does not guarantee complete accuracy and identity to the reality.
  The Site does not guarantee proper operation to any user or on any equipment.
  The Site does not guarantee to provide any and all service desired by users.
  TMPD is not liable in any sense for any act that users perform using information of the Site.
  Also, TMPD is not liable in any sense, whether direct or indirect reasons, for any loss or damage suffered by users as the result of using the Site.
  The Content of the Site may be added, changed, deleted or suspended without advance notice.
  TMPD is not liable in any sense for any loss or damage arising from such addition, change, deletion or suspention.
  The Site may not reflect the current situation accurately depending on the time of preparation, etc. of the Content.
  Maps or images do not show the boundaries of the land or locations of the building, etc. accurately.
  Also, the display position of the Content may have a gap depending on the shape of the building.
  The Site may not be browsed properly depending on PC environment of the user.

Change of Terms of Service

• These Terms of Service may be changed without advance notice.
